On Those Of Benevolent Disposition

You know when sometimes a friend recommends a band so vehemently you’re left wondering if they can really actually be that good? Well an esteemed peer of mine was trying to push The Good Natured on me whilst we were chatting at a Delays gig at the Oxford Academy the other day and so I went home with notes written in my phone and off to myspace I went and well…

Blow me down with a feather it is strong stuff. Dazzlingly original electronics with just a sprinkle of break beat over layered with this deliciously rich pop vocal. A bit like Kate Nash with all the annoying parts removed. For me Sarah Mcintosh (who is The Good Natured, with the addition of Hamish live,) has delivered some of the most emotionally sincere songs we’ve had for a very long time.

Now I had a word with The Good Natured and she has very kindly allowed me to post up an MP3 of one of her tracks. Say thank you by seeing her with Hamish perform at one of the following up coming shows;

13 May 2008 19:00 NOWHERE TO RUN CLUB Kingston, London and South East
17 May 2008 20:00 Reading Face Bar w/ We Smoke Fags and MidiMidis and Boydidgood and Textbook Jackets and Boob DJ Reading
26 Jul 2008 12:00 IndieTracks IndiePop Festival TBC Derbyshire

Enjoy!
