I know, I know, there’s late and then there’s the sort of over due that makes librarians throw stuff at you.
Anyway, eventually I cobbled together another mix for you guys. It’s not live from Monto last week. The tracks that I laid down at the top of the night (i.e. Justice,) were waaay too big room for a blog mix so instead I had some fun and laid down a totally new mix 100% unrehearsed with various bits on my hard drive.
This was all done live in 1 take with no dummy run so please forgive the wobbles. That said, this mix kicks ass. I don’t know why but it ended up very dark and minimal, lots of distorted and wrong speed vocals that had the lovelly effect of completely subverting the tone of the songs used.
