The mighty Ezra Bang and Hot Machine has just released new offering The Erotic Adventures of John the Butcher on I-Tunes which you need to buy. Now.
I came across EB&HM supporting Ladytron at ULU last year. Stripped down to merely a gold pair of Y-fronts he delivered the most exceptionally original cover of the Stooges I wanna Be your dog since Dakar and Grinser. Forget Gallows at Reading, the most punk performance of 2007 was submitted (complete with protruding corkscrews,) to a lot of terrified Tron fans in a students’ Union bar. Hole in one Mr Bang.
Check out his single from last November below. I recommend buying it on the 7″ whilst stocks last. (Guaranteed to rocket in value once the beeb inevitably whacks him on One Extra).
Gesundheit Zeitgeist – Ezra Bang and Hot Machine
(All MP3s are posted for sampling purposes and all readers are encouraged to BUY the original to support the artists to fight mainstream dross. However if you are the artist and you object to your work being included here please drop me an email to ‘xynthex [at sign] gmail.com’ and it will be removed forthwith.)
Fancy catching some Hot Machine live action? They’re playing out at
Hoxton Bar and Kitchen, London on April 9th,
If you’re a more northern or just a bit more willing to travel for a Sh*t hot gig then you should shift your ass to catch them supporting The Teenagers at Faversham, Leeds on April 12th.
