Last week I caught Gary Numan performing his 1978 LP replicas at few places, but this post isn’t about GN. This post is about those who braved the scorn of the numanoid legion to open for Numan on tour.
SOUTH CENTRAL opened for Numan at the Brighton Dome. Hooded up in matching black tops I’ll be honest, they took me by surprise. Easily the most progressive act I’ve seen supporting Numan, their sound is right at home in 2008. A nice racket of glitchy electro, probably more suited to the decks at Fabric than the live forum. Make sure you track down their new RMX of Trash by THE WHIP who they are shortly on tour opening up for. I can see this lot being very big by the time X-mas rolls round so get in on the ground floor now! If you live down South I strongly recommend catching them tonight in Brighton at The Ocean Rooms.
Listen to the MP3 below for a good indication of their live sound (If you like what you hear go buy their records on I-Tunes).
